Self Help (NA- Narcotics Anomyous)

12-Step mutual support programs represent readily available, no cost community-based resources for such individuals; however, practitioners are often unfamiliar with such programs. Measured effectiveness is unknown with this type of intervention. Also, could be effective when paired with other interventions.

Awareness Campaign

Social media has been used as a source of awareness campaign for opioids abuse, because it eliminates the geographic and physical access barriers.

This intervention was used with an adolescent population. Results revealed that awareness campaigns are necessary but not sufficient on it its own.
